Agenda and minutes

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Dr. D. W. P. Booth JP, J. T. Duddy, Mrs. J. Dyer M. B. E. and Mrs. M. A. Sherrey JP.

There were no declarations of interest.

Consideration was given to the Council’s Annual Report for 2008/2009. The report contained detailed information on each of the Corporate Performance Indicators for the year ended 31st March 2009. It was noted that because of the introduction by the Government of a new set of National Indicators, comparative performance information would not be available until 2011. 

Members noted the outcome of the Audit Commission’s Corporate Performance Assessment which had resulted in the Council being awarded a “fair” rating.

In addition the Leader referred to significant achievements and progress made during the past year against the Council’s vision, objectives and priorities.

RECOMMENDED   that the Annual Report 2008/2009 be approved.
