Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence - Review

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee considered matters in relation to a holder of a combined Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle driver’s licence in light of information received by officers from Worcestershire Regulatory Services.

 

The Senior Practitioner (Licensing), Worcestershire Regulatory Services (WRS), outlined the details of the matter, together with the reasons why this had been brought before a Hearing of the Sub-Committee.  The Senior Practitioner (Licensing), WRS, then called his first witness into the Hearing.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, the first witness read out their witness statement and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.

 

The Senior Practitioner (Licensing), WRS, then called his second witness into the Hearing.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, the second witness read out their witness statement and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee and from the applicant’s representative.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, the applicant’s representative put forward his case and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee and the Senior Practitioner (Licensing).

 

The applicant responded to questions from the Council’s Legal Advisor.

 

At the request of the Sub-Committee and in agreement with the Chairman, the applicant and the applicant’s representative returned to the Hearing to provide further information and clarification to Sub-Committee Members. 

 

The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision.  Upon its return it was

 

RESOLVED that no further action be taken.
