LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence - Review

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee considered matters in relation to the holder of a combined Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Licensing Practitioner outlined the details of the matter, together with the reasons why this had been brought before the Sub-Committee, and detailed the Council’s Guidance Relating to the Relevance of Convictions and Cautions and Sections 51 (1) and 59 (1) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, both the applicant and the applicant’s representative put forward his case and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.

 

The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision.  Upon its return it was

 

RESOLVED that, it be determined that the applicant was not a fit and proper person to hold a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
