Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence - Review

Minutes:

The Sub-Committee considered matters in relation to the holder of a combined Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.

 

The Senior Practitioner outlined the details of the matter, together with the reasons why this had been brought before the Sub-Committee, and detailed the Council’s Guidance Relating to the Relevance of Convictions and Cautions and Sections 51 (1) and 59 (1) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, both the applicant and the applicant’s representative put forward his case and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.

 

The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision.  Having re-convened the Sub-Committee then sought further clarification from the applicant on the details of the matter being considered.

 

The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision.  Upon its return it was

 

RESOLVED that the licence be granted.

Enforcement Matters - Officer Update(s)

Minutes:

The Senior Licensing Practitioner provided Members with a verbal update with regard to a decision taken on a matter in relation to a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
