Local Government Act 1972 "RESOLVED that under Section 100 I of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act, as amended, the relevant paragraphs of that part, in each case, being as set out below, and that it is in the public interest to do so:-

Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence Minutes: The Sub-Committee considered an application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
The Licensing Manager outlined the details of the application, together with the reasons why the application had been brought before the Sub-Committee, detailing the Council’s Guidance Relating to the Relevance of Convictions and Cautions.
At the invitation of the Chairman, the applicant put forward his case and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.
The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision. Upon its return it was
RESOLVED that the licence be granted. |

Application for a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence Minutes: The Licensing Manager informed Members of the Sub-Committee that the applicant had not arrived at the scheduled time. The Sub-Committee agreed to adjourn the hearing until 11:00am. Having reconvened, the Sub-Committee was informed that the applicant had still not arrived.
RESOLVED that the application be deferred and that the Licensing Manager be requested to notify the applicant of the arrangements for a future hearing.
