Minutes:

RESOLVED  that Councillor Mrs. M.A. Sherrey J.P. be appointed Chairman for the meeting.

"RESOLVED: that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the Meeting during the consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of "Exempt Information" as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act, the relevant paragraph of that part, in each case, being as set out below:-

Employment Disciplinary Appeal Hearings

Minutes:

The Committee considered two Employment Disciplinary Appeals.

 

RESOLVED  that the meeting be adjourned and reconvened on a date to be agreed, pending further consideration of the transcripts of today’s Hearings .

 

 

Accordingly, the meeting was adjourned at 4.20 p.m.

 

 

The meeting was re-convened at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th July 2007, when the three members named above, plus Ms. J Pitman and Mr. A. Jessop were present. Members were asked to confirm whether, having had an opportunity to examine the transcripts of the earlier meeting, they were still in accord with the earlier decisions taken and  which had been conveyed to the appellants by the Chief Executive. Members raised a number of issues and, after a general discussion, it was

 

RESOLVED  that it is the unanimous decision of the Committee that the previous decisions taken in each of these cases be upheld, and that the appellants be advised accordingly.
