The Sub-Committee was asked to consider an application for a Street Trading Consent in respect of Kirsty Humphrey to provide hot and cold food and drinks from a mobile unit sited at A441, Bromsgrove. 

 

The Licensing Manager outlined the details of the application, together with the reasons why the application had been brought before the Sub-Committee, detailing the Council’s Street Trading Consent Policy.

 

At the invitation of the Chairman, the Applicant’s representative put forward the case for the Applicant and answered a number of questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.  The applicant’s representative requested that it be noted that the applicant was a new applicant and had not traded previously at the A441, Bromsgrove.

 

The Sub-Committee then adjourned to consider its decision.  Upon its return it and having had regard to:

 

§         The Council’s criteria for Street Trading Consents as set out in the Street Trading Consent Policy

§         The application and representation made on behalf of the Applicant

§         The relevant representation made in writing by one of the consultees

 

RESOLVEDthat the application for a Street Trading Consent for the sale of hot and cold food and drinks from a mobile unit sited at A441, Bromsgrove be granted as follows:

 

Actual Trading Hours

 

§         07:00am – 15:00pm Monday to Friday

§         08:00am – 14:00pm Saturday

§         No trading on Sunday

 

The reason for the Sub-Committee’s decision was as follows:

 

§         the application met the criteria in the Street Trading Consent Policy and no objections of sufficient weight to refuse the application were received.

 

The Sub-Committee had decided to attach the following additional conditions prior to the licence being issued:

 

(a)               that the relevant certificate of inspection for fire extinguishers be obtained and a copy be provided to the Licensing Manager; and

(b)               that the Applicant provided evidence that she had entered into a trade waste agreement.

 

The Chairman reported that the Applicant and those parties who made representations would be notified of the decision in writing within 5 working days.
