Issue - meetings

There are no outstanding recommendations contained in the minutes of the Overview and Scrutiny Board included in this agenda pack.

If there are any recommendations as a result of the pre-scrutiny of any Cabinet reports due to be considered at the Boards’s meeting on 21^st July 2026, these will be published in a supplementary papers pack to this agenda.

The Chair invited Councillor P. M. McDonald, in his capacity as Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Board, to present the minutes of the meeting held on 16^th June 2026.

It was reported that there were no outstanding recommendations arising from this meeting.

Members were also updated on discussions that had taken place at the Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting held the previous evening. Members were advised that the Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre Update had been considered and that further investigations into the financial information had subsequently been requested.

In addition, Members were advised that discussions had taken place regarding the provision of cool hubs during periods of extreme heat, including concerns relating to conflicting information provided by Worcestershire County Council regarding potential venues that could be utilised for this purpose.

Finally, it was noted that membership of the Finance and Budget Working Group was in the process of being confirmed.
