32 Overview and Scrutiny Board Work Programme
PDF 120 KB
Minutes:
The Overview and Scrutiny Board
Work Programme was considered by Members.
The following discussions were
raised during this item:
- That an agenda
containing too many substantive items could weaken effective
scrutiny. The Chairman and Vice Chairman agreed to review future
agendas and arrange additional meetings where
necessary.
- It was noted that the
timing of further consideration of the Car Parking Strategy would
need to be reviewed following the decision to establish a task
group.
- Members discussed
whether the Local Heritage List update needed to return at the next
meeting, given the previous agreement for quarterly
reporting. However, it was advised that
this was in line with quarterly reporting.
- The heatwave and
cooling hubs item had been deferred to November because relevant
officers were unavailable due to training commitments. Members
considered that the matter should remain on the
programme.
- Fly tipping including
discarded nitrous oxide canisters should be added to the work
programme for future consideration.
RESOLVED
that the Overview and Scrutiny Work Programme be
noted as per the preamble above.
